There are those things in life that just seem to come easily. Those activities that bring a smile to your face and evoke a sense of excitement and joy. Ever since I was a little girl, shopping with my mom at the onset of a new season did just that. The minute I walked into a store, my eyes would dart around, taking in the trending colors for that season , my hands would graze the fabrics as I studied the perfectly executed displays. As I walked the aisles I would immediately start picturing outfits… which shirts went with which pants and what jacket would perfectly compliment the outfit I had pictured in my mind. I would pull at random and then edit with precision. My mom would always say to me… “Alexis, you have the best luck…” but years later I’m not sure that it was luck. I think it just came naturally. It only seemed fitting that I pursue a career in fashion. After 18 years, exploring both the sales and manufacturing sides of this business, I can say I’ve landed right back where I always was meant to be… shopping, editing, and styling.
